Air Fryer Buffalo Wings

Crispy, juicy chicken wings made in the air fryer with no deep frying, tossed in a buttery hot sauce and finished with blue cheese.

Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken wings, split at the joint
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 5⅓ tbsp hot sauce
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp blue cheese, crumbled, to serve

Method

Season the chicken wings — Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. Toss with baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Air fry until golden — Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed. Air fry at 200°C for 18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.

Crisp the wings further — Increase the air fryer to 200°C for a final 5 minutes to crisp the skin fully, checking that the wings are cooked through.

Toss wings in buffalo sauce — Whisk the hot sauce with the melted butter and honey. Toss the hot wings in the sauce until fully coated, then serve immediately with crumbled blue cheese.
