Air Fryer Crispy Fries
4 servings · 45 min total
Golden, crispy fries made in the air fryer with just a touch of olive oil, no deep frying required. A quick, healthier side for any meal.

Ingredients
- 1 kg potato, cut into fries
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 l water, for soaking
- 2 tbsp ketchup, to serve
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped, to garnish
Method
- 1.
Cut and soak the potatoes — Cut the potatoes into evenly sized fries, about 1 cm thick. Place them in a bowl of water and soak for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 2.
Season the fries — Drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel. Toss with the olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- 3.
Air fry until golden — Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed. Air fry at 200°C for 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- 4.
Finish crisping and serve — Check for crispness and, if needed, air fry for another 3-5 minutes at 200°C. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot, with ketchup on the side.
