Chocolate Chip Cookies

Golden and crisp at the edge, soft and gooey in the middle, loaded with melting chocolate chips. The cookie everyone comes back for.

Ingredients
- 230 g butter
- 150 g brown sugar
- 100 g white sugar
- 2 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 310 g wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 300 g chocolate chips

Method

Cream the butter and sugar — Cream the softened butter with both sugars until pale and fluffy, 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla.

Fold in the dry ingredients — Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt, then stir into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Chill the dough — Chill the dough for 30 minutes. Heat the oven to 190°C/375°F and line two trays with parchment.

Bake the cookies — Scoop walnut-sized balls onto the trays, spacing them well. Bake for 10-11 minutes until golden at the edges but soft in the middle. Cool on the tray 5 minutes.
