Classic Beef Tacos

Seasoned ground beef simmered until rich, spooned into warm tortillas with lettuce, cheese, and fresh tomato. Taco night sorted.

Ingredients
- 600 g ground beef
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1½ dl beef stock
- 12 wheat tortilla
- 150 g lettuce, shredded
- 100 g cheddar, grated
- 1 tomato, diced
- salt to taste

Method
- 1.
Soften the onion and garlic — Heat the oil in a skillet and soften the onion for 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Brown the beef — Add the ground beef and brown for 8 minutes, breaking it up. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and oregano.

Simmer the taco filling — Stir in the tomato paste and stock, season with salt, and simmer for 7 minutes until glossy and thick.
- 4.
Assemble the tacos — Warm the tortillas and fill with the beef, then top with lettuce, cheddar, and diced tomato. Serve right away.
