Classic Cobb Salad

The great American composed salad: rows of chicken, bacon, egg, avocado, tomato and blue cheese over crisp lettuce with a tangy vinaigrette.

Ingredients
- 2 g chicken breast
- 1 lettuce, chopped
- 4 egg
- 6 g bacon
- 2 tomato, diced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 80 g blue cheese, crumbled
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste

Method

Hard-boil the eggs — Bring a small pan of water to the boil, lower in the eggs and cook for 8 minutes for hard-boiled. Cool under cold water, peel, and quarter.

Cook the bacon and chicken — Fry the bacon until crisp, then drain and chop. In the same pan, season the chicken breasts and cook for about 10 minutes, turning once, until cooked through. Rest, then slice.

Arrange the salad — Spread the chopped lettuce over a large platter. Arrange the chicken, egg, bacon, tomato, avocado, and blue cheese in neat rows on top.
- 4.
Make the dressing — Whisk the olive oil, red wine vinegar, and dijon mustard with salt and pepper. Drizzle over the salad just before serving.
