Microwave Dark Chocolate Fondue

Silky dark chocolate fondue made in minutes in the microwave with short bursts and stirring, served warm with fresh fruit for dipping.

Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 1¼ dl heavy cream
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 pinch salt
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 8 g strawberry, hulled and halved
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 pear, cored and sliced

Method

Combine in a microwave bowl — Place the chopped dark chocolate, heavy cream, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave and stir — Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then remove and stir well.

Melt in bursts — Continue microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring thoroughly between each one, for a total of about 1.5-2 minutes more, until the chocolate is fully melted, smooth, and glossy. Do not overheat, or the chocolate will scorch and seize.

Stir in salt and vanilla — Stir in the salt and vanilla extract, then give the fondue a final stir until silky, and transfer to a serving bowl.

Serve with fruit for dipping — Serve warm with strawberries, banana slices, and pear slices for dipping.
