Microwave Quick Oatmeal with Berries

Creamy oatmeal cooked in minutes right in the microwave, then topped with frozen berries, honey and almonds. A warm, wholesome breakfast with almost no cleanup.

Ingredients
- 1¼ dl rolled oats
- 2½ dl milk
- 1 pinch salt
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 5⅓ tbsp frozen mixed berries
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp almonds, roughly chopped
- 1 tsp chia seeds

Method

Combine the oat mixture — In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, a pinch of salt, and the cinnamon, stirring well.

Microwave and stir — Microwave uncovered on high for about 90 seconds, then pause and stir well — this prevents the milk from suddenly boiling over the rim.

Finish microwaving until creamy — Return the bowl to the microwave and heat on high for another 60-90 seconds, checking every 30 seconds and stirring, until the oats are thick and creamy.

Let the oatmeal rest — Carefully remove the bowl (it will be hot) and let the oatmeal sit for a minute to thicken further.
- 5.
Top with berries and nuts — Top with the frozen berries, drizzle over the honey, and scatter the chopped almonds and chia seeds on top before serving.
