Teriyaki Glazed Salmon

Salmon fillets baked under a glossy homemade teriyaki glaze of soy, honey, and ginger. Sweet, savoury, and on the table fast.

Ingredients
- 4 g salmon fillet
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 spring onion, sliced

Method

Make the glaze — Whisk the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Simmer half in a small pan for 5 minutes into a thick glaze.

Marinate the salmon — Marinate the salmon in the remaining sauce for 10 minutes while the oven heats to 200°C.

Bake the salmon — Place the salmon on a lined tray and bake for 12 minutes, brushing with the reduced glaze after 8 minutes.

Garnish and serve — Scatter with sesame seeds and spring onions and serve over steamed rice.
