Turkish Yogurt Flatbread

Soft, pillowy flatbreads enriched with yogurt, brushed with garlic-dill butter. The perfect warm side for dips and grilled meats.

Ingredients
- 350 g wheat flour
- 150 g Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tsp white sugar
- 1 dl water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 40 g butter, melted
- 2 garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

Method

Activate the yeast — Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water and let stand for 10 minutes until frothy.

Knead and rise the dough — In a large bowl, mix the flour, yogurt, olive oil, salt, and the yeast mixture into a soft dough. Knead for 8 minutes until smooth, then cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled.

Shape the flatbreads — Preheat the oven to 220°C. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll each into an oval about 1cm thick.

Bake and brush with butter — Bake the flatbreads on a hot tray for 10-12 minutes until puffed and lightly golden. Meanwhile, mix the melted butter, garlic, and dill, then brush over the warm flatbreads before serving.
