Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cook and Scale (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its normal operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it in any way that could harm the Service or other users.
Accounts are created by signing in with a third-party provider; you are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you use to sign in and for any activity that occurs under your account.
Connected AI assistants
You may connect a third-party AI assistant to your account and grant it permission to read, add, change or remove recipes, pantry items, meal plans and collections on your behalf. Only connect assistants you trust. Anything done under a connection you have granted is treated as your own use of the Service, and you remain responsible for it and for the content that results.
You can revoke a connection at any time in your settings. We may rate-limit, suspend or revoke a connection that places excessive load on the Service, submits unlawful or abusive content, or attempts to bypass any limit or safeguard. Assistants and their providers are third parties; we do not control them, their terms and policies are their own, and the availability of any particular assistant is not part of the Service.
Content and information
Content made available through the Service is provided for general informational purposes only. You are responsible for evaluating the suitability of any content for your own circumstances and for exercising your own judgement, including with respect to ingredients, preparation, allergies, dietary needs, and food safety.
We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any content, and any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.
Intellectual property
The Service and its content, features, and functionality are and remain the property of Cook and Scale and its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted.
Third-party links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third parties, and links do not imply endorsement.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cook and Scale and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Governing law
Finnish law applies to these terms, and disputes are handled in Finnish courts.
Changes and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; changes take effect when posted on this page, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion.
