    Combine the figs and wine — Put the dried figs, red wine, honey, cinnamon stick, orange zest and a pinch of salt in a saucepan.

    Bring to a simmer — Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat and cook uncovered.

    Reduce to a syrupy glaze — Simmer until the figs are plump and the wine has reduced to a syrupy glaze, stirring occasionally.
